Custom Pixel Cut Alexandrite Laser Rod

This is a lab grown alexandrite laser rod segment faceted in a custom long pixel cut design. The stone weighs in at 7.8 carats and measures 22.7x5.9mm.

This is a real lab grown alexandrite (not one of the many simulants) which was faceted from a segment of laser rod.  This material is trichroic (meaning it shows three different colors depending on the direction you look through the stone), color changes under different lights and has strong red fluorescence--it basically looks a bit different every time you look at it.
