Dichroic Moissanite Cubes, Blue/Yellow Moissanite Polished Pieces

These are unusual dichroic yellow and blue moissanite polished cubes.  They're great for seeing dichroism - either by looking through different faces of the crystal, or by rotating them around in polarized light.

We tried a new technique for cubing these up with somewhat mixed results - they aren't perfect cubes, and some are noticeably quite wonky.  I sorted them out by size and color, but be aware that these are more cube-ish than geometric perfect cubes.

This one is an odd one--moissanite with striking dichroism! This is likely the result of a mistake during growth where the argon atmosphere was lost and atmospheric nitrogen snuck and an was able to color the crystal partway through growth, though it's also possibly an intentional dopant (color in moissanite is complicated in a similar way to diamond). This gives it a very unique look--when cut the colors may blend to green or remain separate depending on the chosen orientation and cut design.  This is one of my favorite materials to cut and it comes out amazing!

Note that this is the newer '4H' polytype of moissanite. The crystal structure is different from older '6H' moissanite, which means you don't have the same worries about a yellow discoloration during polishing.
