Lumenite® Faceted Stone 11ct, Glow in the Dark Strontium Aluminate Monocrystal

This is one of the first ever faceted Lumenite® gems, made from a strontium aluminate single crystal. I faceted it myself - this is the second stone I have cut from the material and I think it turned out very well.

It has both incredible fluorescence and ultra-bright and long-lasting phosphorescence.  This stone is 15x10 mm in size, and weighs in at 11ct.

This was cut from one of the more included pieces - there are internal veils oriented perpendicular to the cut direction, which give a little hint of chatoyancy.
