Shadow Crystal Gem Shard

This is a deep purple-black laser garnet (Dusk YAG) which I have cut into a custom shadow crystal design.  It is a huge stone weighing in at 137 ct.

The description of the shadow crystals is pretty vague.  They're probably supposed to literally be the solid shadow of a shard of glass, but I thought this design was a fun take on the concept.  The stone is very dark but still transparent and can even show rainbow flashes when strongly lit.  It also as a spray of glittery bubbles which look like stars in its depths.
